target 2nd transnational meeting – tallinn, 9th-10th JUNE 2025

Exceptional multiplier event 04th May 2025
On Sunday 4th May 2025, within the TARGET project, in collaboration with UNIMORE, Senonaltro and CIS Unindustria Reggio Emilia, AC Reggiana 1919 organized one event involving players of the female sector and their families.The event included a tournament involving female players, and a sensitization activity coordinated by UNIMORE consisting of small quizzes coordinated by 3 representatives of UNIMORE to promote awareness on the topic of gender (in)equality, with a specific focus on gender-based violence.
The event was attended by representatives of Montecchio Emilia Municipality.
From AC Reggiana and the others 3 Football Teams from Reggio Emilia and Parma, about 80 girls participated to the tournament.
Additionally, the event was attended by about 120 people.






Training Trainers in Reggio Emilia – 5th-6th march 2025
On Wednesday, March 5th, and Thursday, March 6th 2025, the TARGET Training Trainers sessions took place at Unimore – University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and at Villa Granata Training Centre. Overall, the TARGET Training Trainers involved 13 participants from the project partner countries who were trained by two experts of UNIMORE on the topics of gender equality and on the TARGET Methodology activities.

On February 17th, 2025, in Reggio Emilia, Italy, a focus group was conducted by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in collaboration with Reggiana Calcio, aimed at validating the methodology of the European project TARGET. A total of 23 participants, including coaches and executives from Reggiana Calcio, took part in the session and provided valuable feedback on the activities developed.


Exceptional Multiplier Event – UKRAINE UAF
National seminar for regional grassroots football development managers, 10th december 2024
The Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) held a national seminar for regional managers focused on the development of grassroots football and child protection. The event took place on December 8th–1th 2024 at the House of Football in Kyiv, highlighting the key role of grassroots football in Ukraine. The seminar included a presentation (held on December 10th 2024) on UAF projects within the EU-supported Erasmus+ program. Among these was the “TARGET – Young Footballers as Ambassadors of Gender Equality” project, implemented in partnership with the Latvian Football Federation, the Estonian Football Association, the Malta Football Association, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, the For Modena vocational school, and EURACTIV MEDIA NETWORK B.V. The project, aimed at promoting gender equality in youth football, launched earlier this year and will continue for two more years.
Overall, the event involved 33 participants (85% males, 15% females).

Exceptional Multiplier Event – Italy Unimore
Calcio di Strada [Street Football]– 29th August 2024

On Thursday 29th August 2024, within the TARGET project, in collaboration with UNIMORE and A.S.D. Castellarano, AC Reggiana 1919 organized a one-day street-football event.
During the event, people from the city of Castellarano (Emilia Romagna, Italy) could engage in street football matches with both male and female players of AC Reggiana, also including players with disabilities. In the meantime, UNIMORE organized a sensitization activity consisting of small quizzes to promote awareness on the topic of gender (in)equality, with a specific focus on gender-based violence.
The event was attended by the President of the Province, the mayor of Castellarano, 7 local politicians. From AC Reggiana, 4 girls from the female team. 6 players with special needs, 4 coaches and 4 managers were involved, plus 10 players from A.S.D. Castellarano. 20 local kids were involved in the street football matches, at least 500 citizens participated as spectators and to the sensitization quizzes, which were coordinated by 3 representatives of UNIMORE.

On 30th June 2024, within the TARGET project, Malta Football Association organized a women’s beach soccer festival.

Exceptional Multiplier Event – Italy Unimore
EQUAMAN: Masculinity navigator project. Predictors of adolescent and adult men’s wellbeing and willingness to foster gender equality – 9th May 2024

Organization of an academic conference presenting a project related to TARGET aims, on gender equality and the promotion of behaviours to foster equal rights among males and females. The speaker was Göksu Celikkol, post-doc researcher at the University of Gdansk (Poland), who presented her group’s work and discussed with the UNIMORE team. The event indeed allowed to discuss complementarity of aims with the TARGET project, and possible combined actions with the common aim of promoting gender equality.
