WHAT DO WE AIM TO ACHIEVE?

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Nowadays societies are characterised by gender inequalities, leading to gender disparities in several fields like employment and education. Sport has the potential to be a game changer as well. Consistently, YouTh footbAll players as ambassadoRs for GEnder equality (TARGET) aims to promote gender equality within and beyond youth football teams, using football as a tool to reduce gender inequalities beyond the football field in the larger society. In so doing, a key role will be attributed to the coach, as an educational figure.

TARGET SPECIFIC AIMS

1) Educating youth football players to gender equality

2) Providing coaches with skills to promote gender equality among female and male youth football players

3) Promoting gender equality in the larger society
